• Produces large, uniform roots from upright plants that hold themselves well in the soil, resulting in less rain splash and better resistance to celery leaf spot.
• This modern breed boasts creamy-white flesh that remains firm despite the large size of the roots.
• Ideal for making homemade coleslaw – simply grate and enjoy the crunchy texture and subtle celery-like taste.
• After harvesting its roots from October to November, celeriac ‘Mars’ stores well but can be left in the ground over winter if covered with a 15cm (6″) layer of straw for protection. • Height: 30cm (12″).
